Since 2012 the Alumni Association of the Faculty of Political Sciences, Ankara University (Mülkiye) has given ‘ Prof. Dr Cahit Talas Social Policy Award to commemorate Prof. Dr. Cahit Talas who was one of the pioneers of Social Policy Discipline , the former Dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences, Ankara University and Labor Minister. The award is given to doctoral and postgraduate thesis on social policy by the Association. According to the 2019 evaluation results, the doctorate thesis of instructor Hilmi Etici, a research assistant at the Department of Labor Economics and Industrial Relations, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, entitled, ‘Perception of Unions via Union Crisis and Conflicts and Generation Y: Eskişehir Case’ is named ‘Praiseworthy’
