Our Researchers Covered CrystEngComm, One of the World's Most Reputable Magazines

Our university faculty member Prof. Dr. Hülya Kara Subaşat and our doctoral student Fatma Kuru Alpaslan covered CrystEngComm, one of the prestigious journals of the Royal Society of Chemistry.

Prof. Dr. Hülya Kara Subaşat, the faculty member of Institute of Science and Technology, Department of Energy and Fatma Kuru Alpaslan, 100/2000 Doctorate Scholarship of YÖK, carried out an important study at our University Molecular Nano-Materials Research Laboratory that will contribute to the world of science.

Our researchers also attracted the attention of the international scientific world with their projects entitled “Eu @ PMMA and Sm @ PMMA nanofibers prepared by electrospinning: structure, morphology, luminescence and magnetic properties”.

Our faculty member and student covered CrystEngComm, the most respected magazine in the field of the Royal Society of Chemistry and in the field of chemistry, owing to their intensive work programme.

In the study, a series of Eu @ PMMA and Sm @ PMMA nanofibers with different additive rates were prepared with an electrospinning device. It was shown that the photo-stability and thermal stability of the prepared composite nanofibers were greatly improved and color adjustability was achieved with the luminescence changing from orange to white light in the nanofibers.
